Eastern Sierra in the Fall

Kersarge Peak

October and November are some of the finest months to experience the Eastern Sierra. Fall colors have started to pop, tourist crowds dwindle (until ski season starts), and wild life has started migrating in anticipation of the coming winter. Crisp air hits your face and it is a joy to breathe deep. Resounding silence rings in your ears and the wide-open spaces are a balm for your tired urban-weary soul. It is also a most excellent time to get out our cameras and get busy!

Conifers dropping fall pine cones

We packed both IR and color camera bodies for this trip; along with a plethora of lenses (per usual). Our lens choices have grown over the years, and we do not want for great options to capture any subject. Many trees still carry their stunning golden foliage, crystalline streams have yet to freeze over, mind-bogglingly vast mountain range vistas abound and (if we were quick) a deer or two with fawns peek from the brush.

Mono Lake Sunset

New images are coming soon on the website. Look in the Portfolio under Scenic Vistas or perhaps Flora.
